PRETTY AND STRONG
When I put these words together, I thought of Katy
Tuggle.
Katy took piano lessons from me as a child. She’s grown to be a beautiful young woman,
who is also physically strong.
She’s done well as a bikini competitor in body building
competitions, but Katy realizes that inner strength is also important. I asked her where she finds that kind of strength. Katy answered,
“My faith, trust in God and my children. I watch my parents struggle with health problems. I need to be strong and healthy for my kids.”
Katy displays her faith every day on her left arm.
I’ve admired the same witness symbols on bracelets and
shirts, but it was my first time seeing it on a tattoo. This image means “He came. He died. He arose.
He ascended. He’s coming again”
“I have a hard time verbally expressing my commitment to God and his commitment to me,” Katy shared. “The tattoo starts the conversation for me”.
More information on these symbols
and their meaning can be found here.
Staying healthy and strong for our kids and loved ones (and of
course, for ourselves) is something all women can relate to. And since October is Breast Cancer Awareness
Month, I wanted to take just a quick minute to encourage my female friends to
give thought to that this month. Take
care of yourself.
Whatever that means to you…
- a self-exam?
- a clinical breast screening?
- or mammogram?
Do it to stay strong 😊
It can also be a way on honoring someone you love who is currently
struggling or who has lost their battle with breast cancer.
A portion of the proceeds raised from the
sale of these products will be donated for breast cancer research, education
and resources.
These items are available
for purchase at Because Boutique, where every item you purchase benefits a cause close to my heart.
